There are some truly stunning locations across Great Britain, and every single one of them is worth visiting.

We’ve put together our beauty spot bucket list to help you make the most of some places you may not have discovered yet. Just make sure you don’t forget your camera.

Beauty spot 1: St Nectan's Glen, Cornwall

Everyone knows how beautiful Cornwall’s beaches are but there’s a lot more to the county than just sun, sea, and surfing.

Why not discover the forested areas of Cornwall? St Nectan’s Glen is a stunning place to explore. The waterfalls and groves in St Nectan’s give the area an almost otherworldly feel – and the local legends of faerie sightings only add to the mystique.

And after a busy day exploring, nearby Porth Veor Manor Hotel Sure Hotel Collection by Best Western is the perfect place to unwind.

Beauty spot 2: Seven Sisters, Sussex

Sussex is home to some of the most beautiful spots in the UK, and Seven Sisters is no exception.

Named for the seven peaks of the pristine white cliffs along the coastline, Seven Sisters is the perfect mix of country and coast. Beachy Head with its storybook-style red and white striped lighthouse is arguably the most famous beach in the area, but we have a soft spot for nearby Cuckmere Haven. This small pebble beach is a bit quieter than its neighbours but equally as beautiful. You may recognise it from films and TV shows including Harry Potter, Atonement and Luther.

Book a stay at the Best Western York House Hotel, Eastbourne when you visit us in Sussex.

Beauty spot 3: Three Shires Head, Peak District

Three Shires Head is one of the prettiest places in the Peak District, and is where the counties of Cheshire, Derbyshire and Staffordshire meet. Two small waterfalls fill pools perfect for wild swimming (if the weather is right!), and you’ll be surrounded by the picturesque landscape of the Peak District. There’s a 3.8 mile circular walk which takes you right past the waterfalls, or you can enjoy a shorter more direct stroll and more time swimming and snacking in the sun.

Book a room with us at the Best Western Plus Buxton Lee Wood Hotel if you want to explore the Peak District.

Beauty spot 4: York

Most people think ‘country’ or ‘coastal’ when they think about beauty spots, but there’s no need to pull on your hiking boots to enjoy a bit of beauty. The UK has some truly stunning cities which are definitely worth a visit and offer photo opps aplenty.

Home to the winding Shambles, a maze of cobbled medieval alleyways lined with independent businesses, York is one of the most gorgeous cities you can visit. The Minster towers above the city, and you get a great view from the city walls.

Join us at the Best Western Kilima Hotel or the York Pavilion Hotel, Sure Hotel Collection by Best Western for your stay in York.

Beauty spot 5: Micheldever Forest, Winchester

Take a stroll through this beautiful and ancient Winchester forest.

Micheldever is home to a variety of bird species and a herd of Muntjac deer, which you’ll be able to spot through the trees. There are a number of peaceful paths to walk down, and if you head there in the spring, the forest floor will be carpeted in bluebells. And if you can get up early enough, watching the sunrise through the trees is truly magical (and the perfect Insta shot!).

Book a room with us at Best Western Chilworth Manor Hotel, it’s just a 20-minute drive from the forest.

Beauty spot 6: Highgate Cemetery, London

You can find beauty spots in amongst the hustle and bustle of even the busiest places and London is no exception. Wander through Notting Hill and catch sight of all the brightly coloured townhouses or visit Greenwich Park for the day and take in the impressive London skyline.

Or, for something a bit different, take a stroll through Highgate Cemetery – yes, really. Wander through the stunning woodland and admire the ivy-covered monuments and wildflowers that have sprung up everywhere. You can even go on a guided tour.

The Caesar Hotel, WorldHotels Distinctive is just a 10-minute walk from Paddington Station, and from there you can go anywhere. Enjoy!
